We strive to create learning opportunities for children of all ages and abilities through interactive, hands-on exhibits and demonstrations, as well as special camps, programs and events. The North Platte Area Children’s Museum is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, and all donations are tax-deductible. The Museum receives no city, state, or federal tax dollars.

Your support of the North Platte Area Children’s Museum helps:

  • Maintain vibrant exhibits and programming that continuously inspire children to learn and grow.

  • Bring new experiences and added learning opportunities through traveling exhibits.

  • Offer reduced fees to the young children in our area that need it most.

  • Provide high-quality family time in a place where children and adults learn together through play.

  • Support parents in their most important role as their child’s first teacher.

  • Encourage educators as they inspire our children to become life-long learners.

We Love Our Volunteers!

The museum would not be a success without the help of many people, including our volunteer staff, our Board of Directors, and more.

Volunteers Needed

The North Platte Area Children’s Museum is always seeking reliable and dependable volunteers to help in many different areas — including as receptionists, maintenance workers, exhibit helpers, day camp helpers, and cleaning and painting.

We welcome service organizations, student groups, older students involved in a class project, retired educators, civic-minded individuals, and those interested in giving of their time to make a difference in the life of a young child.

To get started on your volunteer journey, stop by the Children’s Museum to fill out a volunteer application, which includes a background check.
